Hayward TriStar VS 2.7 HP Variable Speed Pumps (×3)

Variable speed pumps are among the most impactful upgrades available for residential pool owners. Unlike single-speed pumps that run at full power continuously, variable speed models adjust their output to match the exact demand of each task — circulation, filtration, spa jets, or feature activation. According to the U.S. Department of Energy and industry data, variable speed pumps can reduce pump energy consumption by 50–90% compared to single-speed units. Fox Pools installed three Hayward TriStar VS 2.7 HP pumps, integrated with the OmniLogic automation platform for fully programmable scheduling.

Hayward AQRS340 OmniLogic Salt Chlorination System

Salt water pools generate chlorine automatically from dissolved salt through a process called electrolysis. The result is softer, gentler water that is easier on skin, eyes, and swimwear, with consistent automated sanitation that eliminates the chemical peaks and valleys of manual chlorine treatment. Fox Pools installed the Hayward AQRS340, a WiFi-enabled salt system that integrates directly with the OmniLogic platform for remote monitoring, chlorine output adjustment, and real-time alerts.

140,000 BTU Heat/Cool Heat Pump

Heat pumps extract thermal energy from ambient air to heat pool water, making them significantly more energy-efficient than traditional gas heaters. The 140K BTU unit installed by Fox Pools also offers cooling capability — allowing homeowners to lower water temperature during summer heat — a feature unavailable with gas heating. The unit operates entirely on electricity with no gas line dependency and integrates with OmniLogic for remote temperature scheduling and control.

Hayward Cartridge Filters (×2)

The two 600-pound sand filters were replaced with Hayward cartridge filters, eliminating the need for backwashing — a water-intensive process required to clean sand media. Cartridge filters provide superior water clarity, require no water waste during maintenance, and are far easier to service. Maintenance consists of periodic cartridge removal and rinsing, with no specialized equipment required.

OmniLogic WiFi Automation with 5 Automatic Actuator Valves

Fox Pools installed the Hayward OmniLogic automation system with five automatic actuator valves controlling water flow routing between the pool, spa, and heater. The system gives homeowners complete smartphone control of all pool and spa functions — pump speeds, valve positions, heater temperature, salt output, and scheduling — from anywhere via the Hayward app. Real-time system monitoring, equipment alerts, and remote diagnostics are included.
